James Wilkie Devoy

James Wilkie Devoy was born and raised in Portobello, the seaside suburb of Edinburgh. 

From a young age he splashed about on boats with his father all over the Scottish coast. He still enjoys coastal cruising around Scotland and the Med.

James studied English and Film in Edinburgh and went on to write for numerous magazines. More recently he worked as a broadcast journalist at the BBC and Scottish Television where he covered everything from science and tech to politics. He is now the staff writer for Yachting World.
