Team GBR 24th overall after four races

Three races were sailed in light and shifty conditions on the second day of the Yngling world championships in Santander, Spain.

After a disappointing first race result and a black flag disqualification in the second, Team GBR sailors Shirley Robertson, Sarah Ayton and Sarah Webb showed their true potential in race three, when they finished third. A sixteenth in the final race of the day leaves them placed 24th overall after four races.

Janneke Hin, Klaartje Zuiderbaan and Hanne Buis of Sweden currently lead the championship by seventeen points from Trine Palludan, Christina Otzen and Ida Hartvig of Denmark.

A total of ten races are scheduled for the championship which concludes on Saturday 15 May.
