Following the glorious day’s racing on Monday, in 15 -20knots and sunshine, the 40-boat fleet at the 49er national championship at Weymouth was greeted with dull, light winds yesterday.

Competitors were held out on the racecourse but the wind completely died and the fleet was sent home allowing Chris Draper and Simon Hiscocks to retain their overall lead.

With competitors not only from the very strong UK fleets but from France, Germany, Poland and Switzerland Chris Draper and Simon Hiscocks kept their cool and hold on to the lead in this very competitive fleet.
