Applications for Weymouth 2012 visitor berthing now open

Yacht owners will have the chance to watch the Olympics from their own boat as the first phase of berthing and anchorage applications open to the public. The Weymouth Harbour team have been working hard to prepare for the Games, and are confident that boat owners and visitors alike will be able to enjoy the unique experience of watching the Games from the water.

The public now have two weeks in which to book their berths and anchorages, before the first allocation closes on 12 December 2011. All berths and anchorages between 16 July and 9 September 2012 must be booked in advance.For security reasons, visitors withouth a reservation will not be able to moor.

Weymouth Harbour are making improvements in the runup to the Games, including new showers, extra pontoons, WiFi and a water taxi serving all the anchorages out in the Bay.
