If you are tempted to join the Finn class but don’t know whether to take the plunge, why not sign up for the Finn training and trial sail weekend at Grafham Water Sailing Club on 9-10 March. The association will have several boats available for trial sailing during the training sessions on the Saturday.

The format for the weekend is as follows:

Saturday

10am – bacon sandwich, coffee and boat rigging

11am onwards- ready to start the session. This will depend on numbers and the weather, but all being well those with boats will receive rigging, tuning and technical advice from Andrew Simpson and John Greenwood. Those wishing to trial sail one a Finn, there’ll be 30 minute slots available during this session.

Sunday

This day is dedicated to boat owners only. There will be an opportunity to join in the club racing and do two races against other Finns. Race one is at 1100 and race two at 1330.
