Just 14 miles separates SEB and illbruck on the second leg of the VOR but they are pulling away from the rest of the fleet

SEB is still spearheading the Volvo Ocean Race fleet towards Bass Strait by sailing a direct course to Sydney. The yachts behind however, are sailing further to the south to pick up slightly stronger winds. Assa Abloy and Amer Sports One already report winds of more than 20 knots, while SEB is sailing in around 17.

Over 400 miles behind Amer Sports Too is still beating into light headwinds. Their ETA in Sydney has already dropped to December 5 and is likely to move further back.
