More than £4,000 was raised by Lymington Town Sailing Club’s Children in Need programme over the weekend. More than £1,000 of this was raised by the Club’s Rear Commodore, Richard Jenner, who ran a Dutch auction of items donated by generously donated by many local shops and businesses.

Richard paid tribute to the club’s long serving steward Ron Higgs who sadly died earlier this year and who ran the auction for many years even after he had retired from the club’s service.

The rest of the money came from a variety of sponsors and entry fees for the dinghy and keelboat pursuit races held on Sunday 17 November.
