A total of 25 RS600s took part in the Stone |SC Fat Face-sponsored RS600 event. Race one started in a sunny Force 3, Colin Turner, the current national champion, made good progress through fleet to take the race from Pete Sanders. Race 2 saw most of the fleet go left up the beat, those few on the right prospered, Ian Montague who was sailing well, only to break his kicker while leading. Richard Smith and Matt Humphreys fought it out down the run, Richard took the lead and maintained it to the finish. In race 3 Richard had a good lead at the first mark, and was not challenged.

Sunday saw the fleet wake up to no wind and rain. The fleet launched at 1200 in very light breeze, by the time they arrived at the start line, this had increased to a shifty Force 4. Matt started well and went left up the first beat to take second at the windward mark with Colin leading, Matt overtook Colin on the reach and extended his lead to win. Colin did not notice the shorten course flag and therefore lost second place to Ian. The final race of the event was tight with 1 point between Richard and Colin. The wind was a solid Force 5 and increased throughout the race. Richard started well to lead from Colin. At the final windward mark, Colin was still exerting pressure on Richard but the leader held him off to win the race and the event.
