Stève Ravussin, whose trimaran Orange Project capsized last night while competing in the Route du Rhum has been rescued.

Ravussin who spent the majority of the night battling for survival in the hull of his upturned vessel at a position of 40°25W, 41°35N has been rescued by a Russian tanker – Oktha Bridge – that was enroute to England. Although it is still unclear exactly what caused the capsize it seems that autopilot failure was a key factor? more news when we have it.
