After the first four races Richard Peacock and Mari Sheppard lead the 29er nationals

After a delayed start waiting for the sea breeze, Race officer Ralph Tingle successfully started the first four races at the 29er national championship in idyllic conditions at Weymouth.

Richard Peacock, with crew Mari Sheppard, showed why he won the inland championship last year by using his big fleet skills to lead the championship after the first day. However, there is a long way to go in this potential 20-race series. Ian Martin and Olivier Videl are hot on their heels having won two races as well. Top girl team Jenny Taylor and Sarah Allen head up the girls fleet in 11th place.
