The first boats.com organised Marine Industry Web Awards was presented at the London Boat Show on Tuesday evening.

The overall winner, Neilson Holidays’ website www.neilson.com , commanded universal acclaim from a judging panel that included BBC Radio’s Web Site of the Day presenter, Miles Mendoza, Ian Atkins, boats.com’s managing director for Europe, the British Marine Federation’s marketing director James Gower, Ian Burton, the managing director of web developer of Aptek and Kim Hollamby, group editor for sailpower.com’s parent portal ybw.com.

Neilson’s Pip Tyler commented: “We have devoted a lot of effort into making our site user friendly and effective and to see this recognised is fantastic.
