Jonathan McKee (247- TEAM McLube) has worked his way in to first place once again and now leads the second leg of the Mini Transat by eight miles from Pierre Rolland (431- Extrado). Samuel Manuard (43- Tip Top Too it Grau of the Camargue King-Port) has also made a significant comeback and now holds third position ahead of Armel Tripon (151- Roty Mill).

The forecast over the next few hours is for the wind to increase to Force 2-4 from the south-east which should liven things up a bit after days spent floundering in no wind. McKee and Tripon are currently on a similar course while Rolland is furthest out to the west.

The Irish sailor Cian McCarthy, who’s been steadily working his way through the fleet, gobbled up another place last night and is currently lying in sixth place with his eyes firmly set on Alex Pella who’s just 21 miles ahead.

In the production boat fleet David Raison (440- Liquid Ray), who still holds a 40-mile lead over David Sineau (428- France Closings) is well out to the east.
