Escape Sailboat Company, of Portsmouth, R.I., a manufacturer of rotationally molded sailboats, has selected Henri Lloyd’s Breeze product line to become part of the Escape Factory Team Wear apparel program. Henri Lloyd North America, of Alpharetta, Ga., is a manufacturer of high performance foul weather gear.
Designed as a fair weather alternative to conventional sailing gear, Henri Lloyd’s ultra lightweight Breeze line is waterproof and breathable. A ripstop nylon outer fabric provides durability. Escape Factory Team Wear will include a jacket, vest and shorts and will range in price from $49 to 99.
“A marketing alliance with Henri Lloyd, a name synonymous with quality and high performance foul weather gear, will provide our consumer with a superior product,” said Travis Weisleder, sales and marketing manager for Escape Sailboats.
Escape Sailboats (six models from 7.5′ to 12.75′ and $699-2399) are inexpensive bright yellow rotationally molded sailboats with user-friendly innovations to encourage family fun under sail. Each Escape comes with a self-teaching sailing system known as AutoSailO. By simply “matching the colors beneath the arrows,” anyone – even kids – can learn to sail instantly.
A wind arrow shows the safe sailing zones and how to trim the sail. Over 21,000 people have learned to sail on Escape Sailboats since their introduction three years ago.
Escape Factory Team Wear will be available through authorized Escape dealers on April 15th.
