Gill, the global performance sailing clothing company increased their sales by 25 per cent on previous shows at last week’s Schroders London International Boat Show. Terry Cooke, Gill’s Sales Manager, said: “Sales of our Coastal/ Offshore gear were particularly strong and the new glove range turned in an outstanding performance. Our new dinghy products were also well received and the new winter wetsuit proved very popular.”

Nick Gill, Chairman added: “It’s been incredibly successful and I’m obviously delighted that our overall sales have outstripped those of any previous boat shows.”

The chandlery retailers are also delighted. Gill instigated a concerted marketing exercise throughout November and December for its brand-new dinghy/one-design and gloves range and it’s clearly paying dividends according to Gill’s public relations officer, Peta Stuart-Hunt.
