CNN's monthly sailing programme goes to Auckland

Auckland, New Zealand, the current home of the Americas Cup is the focal point of the April edition of CNN’s monthly programme Inside Sailing.

Features this month include: A trip onboard Swedens Victory Challenge, for an exclusive look at their new Americas Cup Class boat and the chance to get behind the helm with skipper, Jesper Bank.

Three years ago Kiwis Russell Coutts and Brad Butterworth turned the Cup upside down when they walked out on Team New Zealand. Inside Sailing profiles their new Team Alinghi, who are the current hot favourite to take the trophy back to Europe for the first time in over 150 years.

New Zealand is fast becoming a world centre for superyacht construction. Becky Anderson takes a tour of Alloy Yachts for an exclusive glimpse of some of their latest projects and catches up with the leading edge of big-boat technology at the worlds largest carbon mast manufacturer Marten Spars.

CNN reporter Lou James is at a secret air force base in England investigating the latest attempt on the world land yachting speed record.
