The Crew Challenge, an interactive internet project, has been launched in an effort to encourage children to get involved with the British America’s Cup Challenge

In an effort to encourage children aged between 9-13 to get involved with the British America’s Cup and learn about the principals of sailing, yacht design and the history of the Cup, GBR Challenge has launched the internet Crew Challenge.

This education project designed to introduce youngsters to Creative Research and Experimentation on Water, will allow the children who take part in the Challenge within teams, to have the chance to enter a national competition to win a trip to the Louis Vuitton Cup in New Zealand in October, 2002. Entries to the competition will be scrutinised by members of the GBR Challenge design team with the finals taking place at Qinetiq, the America’s Cup boat tank testing facility in Gosport, at the end of June 2002.
