Yachting World has become the official media partner and Platinum sponsor of Antigua Sailing Week

Yachting World has become the official media partner and Platinum sponsor of Antigua Sailing Week which takes place from 23-30 April.

The event which has, over the years, maintained its status as the Caribbean’s leading regatta continues to attract some of the world’s finest racing yachts with the likes of Roy Disney’s Pyewacket, Hasso Plattner’s Morning Glory and Robert Miller’s Mari-Cha seen regularly on the startline. Antigua Sailing Week is also a popular venue for Swans and charter yachts, and entries from all over the world include a large contingent from the UK and the USA.

The five-race event is based at the historic Nelson’s Dockyard at English Harbour and at the Antigua Yacht Club at Falmouth Harbour plus special events at other venues around the island including a race to Jolly Harbour for a cocktail party, the famous Dickenson Bay Beach Bash at the north of the Island after the first day’s racing, and the Lord Nelson’s Ball and prizegiving on the last night.

Also this year for the first time ever competitors in the Big Boat 1 and 2 and Racing 3 classes will have the chance to compete in Around Island Race for the Yachting World Trophy see news story here.

Finally, those already attending the event who have a story (yacht, personality or previous Antigua Sailing Week story) that may be of interest to yachtingworld.com please send information to sue_pelling@ipcmedia.com.
