For your chance to test your winch grinding skills, win some fantastic prizes, and help raise money for Skandia Cowes Week’s official charity Sail 4 Cancer, head to Leadenhall Market in London this week for a special Cowes Week promotional event.

Olympic Star sailor Steve Mitchell will be opening the five-day event tonight with details of other activities such as a rowing competition, music, incentives and offers run by the shops and restaurants of Leadenhall Market, you’ll also have the chance to sample a free pint of Young’s Brewery’s finest ale in the ‘2,005 pints of free Young’s Bitter’ prizedraw.

To claim your free pint (or glass of wine) you need to enter the Cowes to Market prizedraw by registering on line at www.cowes2m.co.uk. The first 2005 people to register will receive a drinks voucher which will be redeemable at The Lamb Tavern, Leadenhall Market, between 6.00pm – 9.00pm on 25-29 July 2005.

Prizes for the competitions include: Two places on a Sunfast 37 on the first Sunday of Cowes Week, two passes to the exclusive Champagne Mumm VIP bar and a Magnum on arrival, a case of Champagne Mumm Cordon Rouge, £500 worth of Henri-Lloyd sailing clothing, two places on Touareg Unlimited – the luxury on and off-road driving experience, a fast RIB ride for four people at Cowes on Sunday 31 July – two hours of fast, exhilarating fun watching the racing at Cowes Week.
