The ISAF World Team Racing Championship kicks off today in Valencia 25/9/07

RYA Team GBR’s quest for ISAF World Team Racing Championship success is underway after racing commenced at the Real Club Nautico Gandia in Valencia this morning.

A total of 17 teams from eight nations are taking part in the Championship with RYA Team GBR entering two teams in the Open event and one in the inaugural U21 competition.

Competitors enjoyed perfect conditions to try out the brand-new Lenam 420s used for the Championship during yesterday’s practice race before the opening ceremony.

Up to 70 races are scheduled to take place on day one with finals and prizegiving bringing the Championship to a close on Saturday 29 September.
