After more weather delays quadriplegic sailor makes up ground along east coast 20/8/07

Quadriplegic sailor Geoff Holt sailed from Hartlepool to Bridlington on the latest leg of his attempt to be the first disabled person to sail around Great Britain.

Geoff had been in Hartlepool for six days awaiting a weather window which would allow him to sail to his next stop. Finally weather conditions on Friday were suitable. He set out that morning intending to sail along the coast to Whitby. But by lunchtime Geoff was making such good speed he decided instead to head for Scarborough. Unfortunately for his onshore crew, the height of season meant there was nowhere for them to park.
