It may be a long wait for the sea breeze on day seven of Skandia Cowes Week

It looks like another day of sun lotion and swimming for the sailors at Skandia Cowes Week.

Already the light breeze fluttering the flags and banners around the marina is starting to fade away. Chris Tibbs, the official regatta weather forecaster, is predicting that a weak sea breeze may take over in late morning or early afternoon.

Any sailor venturing past the Royal Yacht Squadron will observe two red and white striped pennants being flown one on top of the other. Known as AP over AP this is the signal for an indefinite postponement.
