School girl Abby Sunderland (sister of Zac) who hopes to become the youngest person to sail solo around the world, has taken delivery of her newly purchased boat, Wild Eyes.
Shipped on a tanker from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she made her way through the Panama Canal and then into Ensenada Harbor, Mexico. Abby, Zac and their father Laurence Sunderland received Wild Eyes in Mexico on Friday 4 December, and successfully cleared customs in San Diego before parking her in Marina Del Rey.
The Project Global Breeze team will now make the final upgrades and alterations to the yacht, readying her for the five month circumnavigation that awaits. Abby's departure date is still to be unannounced.

What kind of responsible parents would let their 16 year old daughter sail around the world??? None that I know of. That's something only wealthy white people do. I pray she obtains her goal. However as a parent, I don't think that is one of the best encouraging moves
