To add more fun to an already exciting time in the VOR, SEB was joined by a school of whales

Despite Team SEB’s string of breakages including two broken headboard cars they now have a small back-of-fleet lead over Djuice Dragons and Amer Sports Too and are experiencing some close racing in an effort to keep out of last place.

To add more fun to an already exciting time, SEB was joined by a school of whales who seemed to be fascinated by the bright orange bulb keel. “They came in very close and started communicating very loud,” said Gurra Krantz. “Woos (Gareth Cooke) looked through the endoscope and could see the whales swimming under the boat. One by one they closed in on the bulb and checked it out. One of the whales, swimming close to the bulb, seemed to be trying to get some reaction. It was an amazing sight. After some time they decided that flirting with lead is not a very successful mission and then they took off.”

With the best part of a week left to sail, SEB, Djuice and Amer Sports Too are looking forward to reaching the stronger winds and enjoy the conditions the leaders are already experiencing.
