Despite a last minute change of venue from Queen Mary to Weymouth because of the Foot and Mouth crisis, the first 49er, 29er and B14 open meeting of the year saw a total of 70 boats take part.

The next Ovington Boats open meeting is now at Hayling Island SC on 24-25 March instead of the originally-scheduled Rutland SC.
