Can you believe some calling the Coastguard, a whole lifeboat crew stopping what they were working on, getting down to the station and going out because….someone can’t row ashore?
‘Wind – East F6. Sea state – moderate/choppy
Largs Lifeboat requested to launch by Clyde Coastguard after they received a mobile phone call from a person who was stuck on his yacht at Fairlie moorings and could not get ashore as his tender’s engine had failed and due to the adverse weather conditions he could not row back ashore.
‘The Lifeboat launched and quickly found the casualty vessel, the sole occupant was transferred onto the lifeboat along with his inflatable tender.’
