The court decision should be followed by a report card from the rest of us: for heaven's sake give it a rest

Don’t you love the concise, Wisdom of Solomon judgment of the New York State Court of Appeals? After all the team machinations, the tomes of submissions and the lawyers’ billed hours, it boils down to a swift headmaster’s admonishment:

“Your made-up friend, Alinghi, doesn’t qualify. You and Oracle there sort it out yourselves. And remember that this is a noble tradition to be played out sportingly on the water – SO DON”T LET ME SEE YOU HERE AGAIN!”

To that we should add the judgement of the audience: “Could you sort out a nice nail-biter every four years and in between, SHUT UP AND GIVE OUR HEADS PEACE!”
