As if we hadn’t been battered enough by winds and half-sunk by rain, watch out: Storm Brigid is about to tear across the British Isles and northern France this weekend. Time to double up the lines/check the props/put tent pegs on your cat.
Forecast suggests the chance that wind in the southern section of the storm could be well over 100mph and possibly worse than anything seen or felt since the autumn.
