A total of 90 boats have lined up for the start of the Top Cat Europeans in Italy

A total of 90 boats including entries from Germany, Italy, Austria, Poland, France, Slovenia, Switzerland and the UK are contesting the Top Cat European championship in Cesenatico (Italy) which started yesterday in a 3-4 knots easterly breeze.

In K1 division Sebastian and Alexander Moser (GER) took control by winning the first race from Simon White and David Holligan (UK) and Roland Reischl and Veronika Fressner (AUT).

In K2 division, the Italian Egidio Babbi and his daughter Giulia were the overall winners with Daniele Saragoni and Agostino Montalti (ITA) second and Marcus and Carsten Viefeld (GER) third.

Franz Lang (AUT) cleaned up in K3 division with the German duo, Thomas Taubert and Wolfgang Gommel in second.

In TC division, the German Thomas Dietlein (F1) was the overall winner from the Sarah Graf and Julia Hild (F2) also from Germany, and the Italian Federico Vegni and Paola Namimato (F2) finished third.
