Deadline approaches for popular Caribbean regatta 18/4/08

The 41st Stanford Antigua Sailing Week, one of the premier sailing regattas in the world, will welcome participants from all corners of the globe again this year, competing for the chance to win this prestigious race.

The five challenging days of racing – in some of the best conditions in the world – combined with the famous Antiguan hospitality, make this regatta one not to be missed.

The Gunboat Class is back! This unique class of all-carbon world cruisers converged at Antigua Week for the first time last year, and was a great success. Now it’s returning to make Sailing Week a class tradition. In fact, these five days of racing will mark the final regatta in the Gunboat Class Caribbean Circuit, and see the series champion crowned.

Joining the Gunboats once again is the impressive fleet of Swans. A singular brand of ocean going yacht, known for its distinctive look, rugged construction, and remarkable versatility. Nautor Swans are a familiar sight the world over at both top-flight regattas and distant, secluded anchorages.

It is fitting then, that a striking fleet be poised to make an impart on Stanford Antigua Sailing Week. With just two weeks to go, a solid roster of 16 Swans are among the 122 entrants registered thus far.

Entry forms and all racing information may be obtained from www.sailingweek.com , but, do not delay. Completed entry forms and fees must be received no later than NEXT Wednesday.
