Hello wave, bye-bye kite as Tonnerre makes short work of their spinnaker

Day 2 of the IRC Nationals was a breezy affair with the wind pushing well into the mid 30s for the IRC Nationals fleet this weekend.

Among the casualties was a spinnaker aboard Piet Vroon’s Ker 46 Tonnerre which gave up the ghost 55 seconds after being hoisted as the boat ploughed into the back of a wave.
