Green light given for 141-metre schooner

On 9 February a major meeting was convened in Amsterdam. The purpose of which was to review unique proposals prepared by design and technical teams for the world's largest sailing yacht - 'Dream Symphony'.
Following wind tunnel test results, and the approval of unique concepts developed by a design team under Valeriy Stepanenko, the project has now received the full go-ahead and will move towards construction.
Dream Ship Victory's facilities in Turkey will be ready to start laying up the hull this summer with a planned launch date of 2016.
The sleek and graceful styling has been created by Ken Freivokh's Design team, and in addition to unique wood building technology proposed by the Dykstra & Partners Naval Architects team, the project will boast excellent green credentials through use of carefully selected tropical woods as a totally renewable resource.
