A tense day afloat as the Laser finals come close to depriving Goodison of the chance to win a medal. Today was the second day out for the Tornado and Star classes

Laser – 4th overall

Paul Goodison – After an agonisingly long wait for the breeze, he narrowly missed a medal finishing behind his main competition the Slovenian Vasilij Zbogar

Europe – 23rd overall

Laura Baldwin – Going out in style, Laura had the best race of the series scoring a 4th in the final race and proving that she has what it takes

Tornado – 15th Overall

Leigh McMillan & Mark Buckeley – A 17th and a 12th made for a bruising day for the British pair

Star – 8th overall

Iain Percy & Steve Mitchell – A 12th and a 9th – the fickle breeze causing all kinds of problems on the course today

49er – Currently 3rd overall

Chris Draper and Simon Hiscocks – An 8th and a 2nd today keep them in the chocolates, but anything could happen in this closely fought class

Men’s Windsurfer – 6th overall

Nick Dempsey – No sailing today

Women’s Windsurfer – 9th overall

Natasha Sturges – No sailing today
