First Azuree model 'Sleeper' proves her credentials

Hot on the
heels of her recent outstanding and successful first outing at the Caribbean
600, ‘Sleeper’, the first model Azuree 46, has more than proved her performance
credentials, finishing overall winner in CSA Class 2 and third overall in this
year’s Antigua Sailing Week.

Designed by
Humphreys Yacht Design and built by Sirena Marine, the Azuree 46 is both a
beautifully appointed cruiser and a race winning boat. Jonty Layfield,
owner and skipper of ‘Sleeper’, is understandably delighted with the
results. Congratulating Sirena
Marine on a fantastic boat, Jonty recounted, “As we bore off at Green Island on a tight reach to Barbuda,
we overtook all the boats from an earlier start class as if they were standing
still.” He added, “She
just flew, none of us expected the speed and control. We were with a
professionally crewed Swan56 and still with them when we reached Barbuda.”

Ipek Kirac CEO
Sirena Marine said, “We are delighted with Jonty’s success which clearly proves
the Azuree 46 is a cruiser capable of impressive performance.”
