A bumper day in Weymouth with six classes racing for real

One of the busiest days of the event, the 49ers kick things off today at 1200 on the Nothe course. With the breeze up in the teens, this should be an exciting race for their opening day which sees two races on this course.

The match racing then continues on the spectator course. Also having their first day of competition are the Laser and Laser Radials out on Weymouth Bay South starting at 1200. You won’t be able to see this course from the shore so keep an eye out here for our picture streams straight from the course.

Then it’s the second day of racing for the Finns and Stars which starts at 1400 on the Weymouth Bay West course area. Their later start means that the conditions could get quite lively later on their course as the approaching weather front spices things up.
