Before the VOR fleet sets off on the next leg of the round the world race, they're preparing for the Sydney parade of sail

In preparation for the forthcoming Sydney Hobart Race which starts on 26 December, the Volvo Ocean Race yachts will take part in a parade of sail. The VO 60 fleet will depart from their berths in front of Sydney’s National Maritime Museum at 1430 local time and will spend an hour racing in Sydney Harbour.

At approximately 1615 the yachts will rendezvous with the CYCA Sydney-Hobart fleet in Lavender Bay. The fleet will then proceed underneath the Pyrmont Bridge and in to Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour, at an estimated time of 1700.

The prizegiving ceremony will take place at 1820, on the floating Aqua Shell, in Darling Harbour, with the Volvo fleet moored adjacent, and will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display at 2030.
