It was a truly spectacular conclusion to the Melges 24 Volvo Cup at La Marina di Scarlino in Tuscany Maremma. After two sunny days of thermal breeze, a northeasterly front swept through, bringing 25-30 knots of breeze with it.
Perfect conditions for Favio Favini and his crew on Blu Moon, who won the race hands down. Lorenzo Bressani on Uka Uka took second, and Alberto Bolzan’s Hurricane third. Four boats dismasted. Watch the video below…..
