Typhoon has just announced this year’s sponsorship deal with the Fireball class association.

Typhoon, the quality dinghy sailing clothing company, has just announced this year’s sponsorship deal with the Fireball class association. As well as sponsoring the national championship they’ll also be sponsoring the Super Series, a nation-wide travellers series in an effort to establish an active open meeting circuit during the lead-up to the nationals.

According to Rachel Keeling, the class publicity officer, Typhoon are very keen to ensure the entire fleet is recognised and not just those at the front of the fleet. “Typhoon are always very careful to ensure the prizes are spread throughout the fleet giving everybody, whatever level, an opportunity to race for some of the great prizes on offer.”

The first event in the Typhoon Super Series is on 21-22 April at Grafham Water SC this is followed by an other event on 26-27 May at Exe SC, one on 23-24 June at Shoreham SC and the last event in the series on 3-4 November at Northampton SC. As well as the Super Series and the national championship, the class has a packed fixture list with numerous open meetings, the Golden Dolphin series which runs alongside the Super Series, and the European and world championship on Lake Bracciano in Italy.
