BMF member Secure Yacht Ltd scoops victory in Marine Electronics category at METS 13/11/07

The British Marine Industry has cause for celebration following victory in the Marine Electronics category of the DAME Awards (Design Award METS), at the Marine Equipment and Trade Show (METS) in Amsterdam today. BMF member Secure Yacht Ltd of Alton, Hants won for their dedicated marine access control relay product, Net 2 Marine Reader.

Additionally, three other British companies received special mentions – for products including Sea Sure, Henri Lloyd and Douglas Gill.

Commenting on the win at the DAME awards, Dean La-Vey, Director of Secure Yacht said: “We are delighted to receive the DAME Award which is fantastic recognition for our product which has been designed to meet a market need.”

The win adds to a significant British presence at METS this year – with 102 companies exhibiting in the UK pavilion and an additional 70 UK companies exhibiting elsewhere at the show.

METS, the world’s largest marine equipment supply show, is now in its 20th year with several UK companies and organisations having had a presence every year since 1988. Henri Lloyd, Barton Marine Equipment and the British Marine Federation are among those who are celebrating their 20th show.
