Blue Box Sailing is planning to lead the youngest ever crew non-stop round Britain and establish a new world sailing record aboard the former Whitbread 60 yacht Intrum Justitia

Blue Box Sailing is planning to lead the youngest ever crew non-stop round Britain and establish a new world sailing record aboard the former Whitbread 60 yacht Intrum Justitia.

Blue Box Sailing, set up by Jonathan Bradfield and Lisa Forbes (both 22-years-old) in April this year, has been successfully organising sailing trips from its Ocean Village base throughout the summer providing opportunities for those wishing to sail race boat of that calibre.

According to Blue Box, the aim is to prove that age is no obstacle in sailing and that anyone, regardless of age, sex or experience can develop the skills to sail on board a pedigree race yacht. But to do so each crewmember (12 in total) will have to find their own personal sponsorship of £3,000. This fee however, will cover not only food and use of sailing gear but 16-days of intensive training including an RYA sea survival course and first aid course.
