With an estimated arrival time of 0930 tomorrow Mari Cha IV is looking set to break the transatlantic speed record

The latest estimated time of arrival for Mari Cha IV is 0930 UTC tomorrow morning (9 October) at Lizard Point. If Robert Miller and his crew arrive at any time before 1335 UTC tomorrow, they will have knocked an astonishing two days off the existing record and become the first monohull ever to sail across the Atlantic in under seven days. The current record is held by Bernard Stamm onboard Armour-Lux and stands at 8 days, 20 hours, 55 minutes and 35 seconds. Once Mari Cha IV has reached Lizard Point and completed the record attempt, she will sail straight to Falmouth.
