Join us at the Ocean Sailing Forum taking place at the PSP Southampton Boat Show

The popular Ocean Sailing Forum will take place on 15 September, the first Saturday of the PSP Southampton Boat Show. This two hour panel discussion is a must for anyone considering an Atlantic crossing or blue water cruising.

Panellists include industry experts and experienced cruisers, to bring you a range of opinion and knowledge. Topics for discussion include choosing sails and equipment, provisioning, living onboard, and weather and routing.

This year’s panellists will include Rob Gaffney, principal of the Hamble School of Yachting and Yachtmaster Examiner; Liza Copeland, sailing author with over 160,000NM of family cruising; Bernard Clarke who has sailed his Westerly Oceanlord around the world; Andrew Wood, sailmaker, mini Transat racer and professional delivery skipper; and Thomas Wibberenz, cruising catamaran expert.

Good value for money

It costs £15 per person to benefit from all of this advice, and the price includes a FREE ticket for the PSP Southampton Boat Show, and a FREE copy of Yachting World magazine. After the Forum, participants can visit the boat show and look at the equipment and boats mentioned during the discussion.

“Very useful to hear from people who have between them so much experience and knowledge. The Forum represents very good value” said Martin Lunt of the Ocean Sailing Forum in January 2012.

“Good value. It drove home the serious nature of long distance cruising and the importance of preparation.” Added John Perryman
