Holt, the performance dinghy hardware manufacturer, and the RYA have joined forces for the third year running to sponsor the Holt RYA National Ranking Series 2004.
Up and coming Olympic class sailors can compete head to head with Britain’s elite to win funding for participation on the international dinghy circuit. The two-day events for sailors of Olympic class boats take place at venues around the UK. The event is open to all sailors and £50,000 of grants are available to those who are non-lottery funded.
The series provides a great opportunity for newcomers to Olympic class racing to make an impression and win funding for participation on the international Olympic class circuit.
The race series, the first event of which took place this weekend, is open and therefore anybody who sails an Olympic class boat can enter. After each event a Holt RYA National Ranking list will be compiled which will then be used to distribute grants and allocate entry places at International regattas.
