James Jermain reports from on board

Firefly lollops across the lazy NW swell like a sleepy moth. Light airs have bedevilled the passage and so far we have motored for 20 out of 24 hours. We read, scan the horizon for whales and dolphins, so far with some success, and discuss the next meal, toasted cheese sandwiches with soup.

We are in 2000 metres of water and yet have just passed a moored marker buoy.

Firefly remains in good order, Captain Cantankerous is smiling, Courageous has vanquished the grill and Calamitous is still on board and in one piece. Ciao till tomorrow.
