Still time to enter for some sailing fun in the sun

It’s not long now until the start of the 41st edition of Stanford Antigua Sailing Week – so don’t delay in returning your entries. Regatta officials are asking that completed forms and fees be received no later than WEDNESDAY 23 APRIL, so hurry. All entry details can be found at www.sailingweek.com .

This year will prove to be another thrilling event, not least because of its headlining act. A rematch between off-shore racers ICAP Leopold and Rambler will see a ‘Clash of the Maxi-Titans’. Antigua Sailing Week will hope to see a repeat of their epic duel in last summer’s Fastnet, but this time in the fresh tradewinds of the Caribbean.

Neither should the traditional ‘first night party’ be missed. For many years the first day of racing has ending with a beach bash on Dickenson Bay. This year – for the first time – the event is moving to Fort James to accommodate the thousands of revelers expected to join the week’s competitors.

It’s sure to be a week to remember.
