Don't miss the free World Cruising Club/Yachting World Atlantic Circuit Forum 31/8/06

Learn from the Cruising Experts at the free Atlantic Circuit Forum Saturday 16 September 2006 – Ocean Village, Southampton.

World Cruising Club, organisers of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, World ARC 2008/09 and other cruising rallies, has teamed together with Yachting World Magazine to stage an Atlantic Circuit Forum on the first Saturday of the Southampton Boat Show 2006.

As leaders in the offshore cruising world, representatives from World Cruising Club and Yachting World will join with a panel of experts bringing together a broad range of cruising knowledge and experience. Principal of Hamble School of Yachting, Rob Gaffney, joins the panel for the first time, bringing knowledge gained from sailing thousands of ocean miles on Atlantic crossings, and more recently training prospective Atlantic sailors.

The Forum will discuss the planning and preparation required for an Atlantic Circuit, with special emphasis on the ARC and what to expect in terms of weather and equipment issues, all of which is relevant for those planning a round the world cruise.

If you are planning an Atlantic Circuit, or indeed any voyage of extended offshore cruising, this Forum will be well worth two hours of your time. Both Andrew Bishop and Jeremy Wyatt from World Cruising Club will be available after the forum to answer specific questions about any World Cruising Club rally. Rob Gaffney will be available to talk about further training with Hamble School of Yachting, and a number of marine equipment suppliers will be on hand to offer specific product advise.

The Atlantic Circuit Forum will take place from 1000 to 1200 on Saturday 16 September at Ocean Village, Southampton.

Entry to the Forum is free, however as places are limited, delegates are asked to pre-register via the website or direct with World Cruising Club.
