Sweeney retains oveall lead at the Hunter 707 nationals at Weymouth

The second day of the Hunter 707 national championship at the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy continues to produce some very close racing with Sweeney retaining her overall lead.

After 6 races discards have yet to come into play and when they do the chasing pack will close up considerably with many boats currently counting double figure results which they will drop.

Thursday was Feeling Touchy’s day with two race wins. Others making it top five were ‘a back-on-form’ Pocket Battleship, Code Z, Doh, Chilli Chaser, Beaver Hunter and Race Horse.

Sweeney’s consistent string of top three places and one 7th puts her ahead of Feeling Touchy in second, Pocket Battleship, Code Z and Cacciatore. Sword, Chilli Chaser and Eh! have all dropped down the leader board being three of the five boats counting an OCS from race 6.
