The second leg of the Skiff.tv 49er Grand Prix of Italy at Lake Garda saw the machine of the Danish team swept to victory having been challenged the more flamboyant Italians and the explosive French.

The event lived up top everyoneís expectations with perfect 22-24 knts winds, flat water and 19 heavily contested races in four days.

The big fight was between the Danish, multiple Italian, French, Japanese and Australian teams with Austria and Switzerland throwing in most exceptional boat performances.

Even though Sibello played the home town advantage for everything that it was worth, the cool machine-like, and honed performance of the Danish Andersen/Hestbek team could not be thwarted.

The next leg is in the UK in late July, early August (31st July – 3rd August 2003 Hunstanton, located on the North Norfolk Coast.
