Volvo Car UK and the Team Volvo sailors have launched a new sailing App for iPhone and iPad users.
The App focuses on Ben Ainslie, Paul Goodison, Saskia Clark and Hannah Mills, Annie Lush and the Macgregor sisters, Lucy and Kate as well as Paralympic hopeful Helena Lucas.
Much of the material in the free app is aimed at demystifying sailing for new followers and includes a ‘Walk the Course’ area with Goodison, who takes you step by step around an Olympic sailing course from start to finish.
Along with areas such as the ‘My Class’ pages that give detailed information on the sailors’ boats of choice, you also have the option to connect with them by asking a question.
For more experienced sailors the ‘Sailing Toolbox’ contains top tips and expert advice from the sailors and includes coaching videos from Ainslie, Goodison and RS: X Windsurfing World Champion Nick Dempsey.
