Inspired by James Bond’s backpack, the Jetlev-Flyer looks set to be the next item in the Superyacht toy locker

This carbon fibre back pack with twin water jet thrusters is attached to its water pump power unit via a giant umbilical cord.
Once fired up, the 1500cc, 250hp engine squirts out water at 4bar and can lift the pilot to 9m (30ft) and propel him or her at 19 knots. It can also hover or reverse, but at £109,000 it will also empty your wallet as fast as the water that streams out of the nozzles.

Fun for sure, but could this really have any practical applications?
