A bit of a cover-up on the Volvo Ocean Race

 

This photo caught our art editor’s eye while laying out the contents page of our June issue. It shows what all-male crews get up to when there are no women’s clothes on board.

It’s customary when rounding Cape Horn to take a few photos of the imposing outcrop. The crew of Puma certainly did their best.

But look what they sent back. The PhotoShop modesty blob slapped on the cheeks was added before it was distributed for free use. I can’t decide which is the stranger idea.
